Computer Crash Repair
Computer crashes happen when there are a series of problems or errors inside your computer that cause your system to be unable to do the things you want. A “crash” is your computer’s way of “ejecting” out of a sticky situation, and is something I am sure a lot of people have experienced, if you’ve spent any time using a PC. Computer crashes are extremely common and can be a big problem for many PC’s, if the cause of the error is not fixed. Fortunately, you can use this simple tutorial to fix the errors that cause most computers to crash. Here’s what you need to do…
1) Restart In Safe Mode – “Safe Mode” is a mode which Microsoft created to load Windows without any of the troublesome drivers or software that can cause issues. It’s basically like a “bare bones” version of Windows that allows us to test whether the crash is caused by a software or hardware problem. To boot into safe mode, restart your PC and then press F8 continuously before Windows even has a chance to load. This will bring up an “advanced boot options” menu, from which you should select “Safe Mode”. You should then use your PC as normally as possible in this mode to see if it crashes. If it does crash, then it means there is probably a problem with your hardware. If it does not crash, it means that your software is probably to blame and you should proceed to steps 2 & 3:
2) Reinstall Any Damaged Software – Software applications are a famous part of why many people like to use Windows (you can install many different programs on it). However, many software applications can become damaged and corrupted over time, leaving your PC running extremely slowly and with errors. To fix this problem, you first need to identify if the crashes occur if you use a certain program – if they do, then you should completely uninstall the software in question; and then reinstall it to put a fresh copy onto your PC. This will replace any damaged files or settings that could be causing the crashes. However, if you’re seeing random crashes, then you should proceed to step 3:
3) Repair The Registry Of Windows – The ‘Registry’ is a central database which Windows uses to store all the settings and options that your system & software need to run. This database is a vital part of the Windows system as it helps all your programs to recall various details and information that your PC requires. However, it’s also one of the biggest causes of problems and if you’re seeing random crashes, it’s probably because of the registry. The problem is that because the registry database is continually being used by all the software on your PC, it’s often saved in the wrong way, causing its files and settings to become damaged and corrupted. This leads the files to become extremely difficult to read, which leads your computer to either slow down or crash. This problem is actually one of the main reasons why Windows crashes and the good news is that you can fix it very easily by using a ‘registry cleaner’.
