How to Fix a Computer Crash Due to Graphics Driver?
Every user wants to get the most out of his computer and that’s why he uses every possible way to make his PC better and better. One of those ways is keeping your computer up to date. This includes having latest drivers directly from respective company’s websites.
But sometimes latest drivers create problems due to which we have to seek the advice of our vendors which is in fact quite unnecessary. When I state about problems, I am concentrating on a particular problem related to graphics driver.
Sometimes, when we update our graphics driver (whether for external or on-board card), the display stutters and freezes and in most cases our computer restarts. This is not a very big problem if you know what to do and how to do.
Why this problem occurs?
One of the main reasons is the existing bug in our computer. This bug or virus corrupts the files of our newly installed graphics driver which in turn displays errors and dumps graphical memory on our hard disk resulting immediate restart.
How to fix it?
The actual idea is obviously installing the graphics driver again but it becomes tedious for many new computer users when you can’t even work on your computer to fix it up (because of the immediate freeze up and the infamous blue-screen error followed by a restart).
Well, I know that you don’t want to know all this fuss and in fact you want to go straight to business.
These are some easy steps to follow and you’ll have your computer work fine once again:-
1. Firstly, hit up the power button on your CPU (same for the laptop) and press F8 (function key) key from the very beginning until you see a screen displaying you various options to start your computer.
2. Select the option, ‘start your computer in safe mode’.
3. When you do this, you’ll be forwarded to a screen which displays the loading of core drivers (only those drivers which are necessary to let your system function normal).
4. When your computer will finally head for the main screen you’ll see SAFE MODE in the four corners of the screen to let you know that you are working in safe mode.
