Due to continued internet use, our computers can run slow because of some significant changes that occur in our system and make them to run slow. The first thing that I did when I wanted to speed up my computer is that I made use of the specific tactics that deal with simple problems. Get rid of unnecessary startup programs: Your start up normally will include many applications and if you are an experienced computer user, you must have optimized your start up programs and processes so that you achieve the specific needs. However, if you are an average user, you might not learn this feature because it requires someone with extensive PC knowledge. When I am thinking of making my system faster, I always take time to look at all programs and to remove unnecessary programs that start up once the system is switched on. For instance, I always make use of the MSCONFIG command in windows and choose the programs that you wish to run automatically at startup.

As you want to install new programs, there are several that are several that choose to conceal themselves when you start up your system even without you knowing. You do not want to use all your software at the same time so it is a good idea to use the boot process that is required by the type of software you are using. Every program that you have installed in your system needs certain services in order to make PC faster and so you will require all these services.

Defragment Hard Drive: Another thing to do in order to have a clean registry is to defragment your hard drive. The conditions of the files that are in your hard drive are the ones that make your computer to run slow. When the system is loading files onto the hard drive, there is the disorganization of those files sand therefore; you have to make sure that they are arranged in order by doing the hard drive DE-fragmentation.

Another thing that you should know when you want to make your computer faster is to remove temporary files. Also, defend yourself against viruses and spy-ware.
