postheadericon Laptop suddenly running very slow

It is an HP Pavilion dv9000. I am running Vista Home Premium Service Pack 2. It has a AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-60 2.00 GHz processor and 4.00 GB RAM. I don’t remember exactly when the last Windows update was, it automatically updates, but I know it was less than 2 weeks ago. I have never done a system restore on this machine. There are no errors with a red X but lots with a red !. They are in Windows>CodeIntegrity and Windows>CorruptedFileRecovery-Client. There are a couple of others but they are older, as in months older.

CodeIntegrity Error – been occurring since 12/2009 362 of these Windows is unable to verify the image integrity of the file \Device\HarddiskVolume1\Windows\System32\drivers\RxFilter.sys because file hash could not be found on the system. A recent hardware or software change might have installed a file that is signed incorrectly or damaged, or that might be malicious software from an unknown source.

CorruptedFileRecovery-Client Error – All 18 of these errors have occured since 5/5/10. Mostly this one The system file C:\Windows\System32\cryptui.dll may be corrupted, which may have caused the application C:\Windows\system32\svchost.exe to stop working. Windows could not repair this file automatically (error code 2147942487). Run the command “sfc /scannow” at an administrative command prompt to check for errors and to repair the file if necessary.

One of this one The system file C:\Windows\System32\wercon.exe may be corrupted, which may have caused the application C:\Windows\system32\WerCon.exe to stop working. Windows could not repair this file automatically (error code 2147942487). Run the command “sfc /scannow” at an administrative command prompt to check for errors and to repair the file if necessary.

I also noticed that there was only 1 maybe 2 in the last 24 hours. I did not shut my machine down last night but put it in hibernate mode. I also noticed that since “waking up” my machine, it seems to be running at normal speed. I haven’t tried restarting as this can take up to an hour.
