Steps to Make Your PC Run Extremely Fast

1) Close Unneeded Programs – Many people will tell you to “uninstall” unwanted programs but this won’t fix your PC very quickly. In order to get your PC to speed up right now, you need to close the programs you are not using, so your system can focus on one thing and do it quickly. To close down your unwanted programs, you should press CTRL + ALT + DELETE on your keyboard (and select “Task Manager” if you’re using Vista or Win7). The best thing to do is to click on the “Physical Memory” column to sort the programs by their memory size and then stop the ones which are taking up too much memory.

If you want a fast computer, you need to know it’s got no infections on it, and to do that you should download some antivirus and antispyware programs, which will scan through your PC and remove any of the viruses that will often cause havoc to your system. However, it’s advisable that you either disable or uninstall the antivirus programs after you’ve used them as they too will slow your PC down.
3) Clean Out The Registry – The ‘registry’ is the central database where Windows stores the settings for all the files and software on your computer. The registry is a highly important database, because it keeps information such as your desktop theme and even your latest emails stored inside. However, this database also causes Windows to run extremely slowly because of how it’s used so much by your computer. Each time you use your PC, 100′s of registry files and settings are being used to help your system run as smoothly and reliably as possible… but because so many files are open at once, many computers get confused and save a lot of these important files in the wrong way. This makes the files unreadable, and causes Windows to have to spend a long time reading the settings it needs to run.
One of the best things you can do to speed up your PC today is to make sure the registry database is not corrupted or damaged. Fortunately, this can be done very easily by using a ‘registry cleaner’ program to scan through it. Registry cleaners are software tools which can speed up Windows a lot by cleaning all the damaged settings that your system might have. You can download these tools from many major download sites, and they will basically fix all the damaged settings that are making your system run slower.
